Why is nutrition important to you and what impact does it have on the body?
Me + nutrition = great love! Nutrition is so important for our health and well-being. It is hard to overstate the impact nutrition has on our bodies. There is actual truth behind the phrase “you are what you eat”. Did you know that 80% of diseases are linked to nutrition? But the good news is that even if ailments or health problems are already present, they can be improved through nutrition, and often in a very short time. My aim is to help people by actively supporting them with their nutritional and lifestyle choices.

How did you actually end up becoming a nutritionist?
I wanted to be a nutritionist ever since I was a little girl. My mother always had lots of cookbooks and cooking magazines at home and I used to read them like other kids read Mickey Mouse magazines. My love for cooking and baking started back then and I have always been fascinated by healthy food that tastes good. I proudly call myself a foodie - I love to feast!

What's your best way to start the day?
I start the day (almost) every morning with a glass of apple cider vinegar. About 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted with 100 ml of lukewarm water before breakfast. This helps boost the immune system, gets the metabolism and digestion going and even reduces cravings. For breakfast, I usually eat porridge. Oatmeal with fresh fruit, some yogurt and plant-based milk. This keeps me full for a long time, provides valuable fibre, complex carbohydrates and antioxidants from the fruit. I also love my Signature Banana Granola with a touch of sea salt. So good!

Where do you buy food?
I love shopping at the local markets here in Düsseldorf. My favourite place is the beautiful Carlsmarkt where you can find nearly everything -seasonal fruit and vegetables plus many special foods!

What can our customers expect from your workshop?
Very briefly summarized: lots of information, tips, delicious food and lots of fun! It is important for me to share a lot of my knowledge and personal experience with you and above all, to give you tips and tricks that you can implement into your everyday life and diet. Of course, there will also be plenty of healthy treats for you to try.
