Barre 125-Hour Teacher Training

In-person training at our studio BEYOND, in Kreuzberg

The 125-hour Barre Teacher Training Program

Our approach to fitness is international, insanely fun, high-intensity, inspiring, and music- driven. We’ve teamed up with re:form Movement Education to bring you one of the most comprehensive barre trainings on the market. Our focus is a functional and integrated approach to the fusion of dance conditioning, Pilates, and yoga training. This is a movement practice for every body.

Whether you are looking to start a new career, supplement an existing one with a practical and dynamic skill set, or simply want to improve your practice by deepening your understanding of barre from the inside out, this program will give you the tools you need. This 125 hour program offers an immersive perspective on what makes a barre class dynamic, effective, and engaging. We’ll examine everything from the anatomical foundation of the exercises in our repertoire to the anatomy of a playlist. You’ll be methodically prepared to lead group barre classes on a highly professional level at BECYCLE, BEYOND and other studios.

Our Curriculum Covers:

Applied Movement Anatomy Virtual Course (can be booked separately)

re:form’s Applied Movement Anatomy workshop is an essential exploration of the fundamental musculoskeletal anatomy that fosters human movement. Now available in an entirely virtual format, this 20-hour course is a must for movement instructors and enthusiasts who want to understand how the theoretical understanding of movement can be applied to and enrich movement experience in real life. We will identify and study the joints and tissues responsible for global movement by bringing awareness to relevant structures, muscles, and relationships in our own bodies, as well as give functional context to how these actions apply to a range of movements across a variety of fitness and movement disciplines.

In addition to identifying structures and relationships in your own body, you will learn fundamental joint actions, and put all this knowledge to work in a functional context.

Applying this information, we learn to develop visual assessment skills, identify common misalignments, modifications. You will examine some of the structures involved in respiration and learn how and will unpack a wide array general implications to build an arsenal of productive exercise come to a definitive understanding of the industry’s most ubiquitous yet misunderstood term:this anatomy can facilitate (or derail) functional breathing patterns in exercise. You will also come to a definitive understanding of the industry’s most ubiquitous yet misunderstood term: The Core.

This workshop is required for participants in the Barre Teacher Training program, but is useful for all movement instructors and can be booked separately. Please use the below contact form below for more information.

Barre Scholarship

We are pleased to announce the initial offering of our Barre teacher training full scholarship. For one individual, all costs of the training program will be paid in full on behalf of re:form GbR and BECYCLE Berlin. This scholarship is intended to remove the primary financial barrier to becoming a movement instructor for a member of the community whose voice we feel moved to amplify. On page one of our manual, the pillars of our method are listed. Among them is “inclusive and non-judgmental environment.” We believe that this cannot be fully realized without active intent to diversify our community from the inside out. In this context, we view diversity as the expression of a range of economic, ethnic, cultural, spiritual, and otherwise nuanced identities.

Movement is an essential practice for everybody, and we believe that every body should find resonance in the voice of an instructor they can identify with.

For more information please use the below form and we will send further details.

The Fine Print:

Payment: a non-refundable 500€ deposit is due upon registration. Tuition remainder can be paid in one or two installments, and is due by September 6, 2024 (three weeks before the start of the AMA module). Payment is available by bank transfer only.
