Gyms in general have a larger than normal environmental footprint. Lots of energy is being consumed by aircon systems, heaters, and water is wasted by showers running too long.
At BECYCLE we are trying to do our bit to reduce our environmental footprint and be more efficient. We let our aircon only run at times when the RIDE studio is in use and showers turn off automatically.
We've introduced single-use Scrummi Towels (100% recycled, 100% natural and 100% biodegradable) for our workouts and know this reduces our environmental impact as no chemistry is used to wash them. Berlin is yet to introduce eco-friendly laundry services. Most laundry services use heavy duty detergents which harm the environment.
We kindly ask you to only use 1 towel each to ensure we can keep our promise to the environment.
By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. We've stopped selling plastic water bottles and instead offer you filtered water through our LEOGANT filters. You can bring your own bottle or buy a BPA-free BECYCLE bottle that you can refill as many times as you wish.
