BEwell: The Body-Mind Reset

Struggling to get on track with your health goals this year? At BECYCLE we believe working out is way more fun with good music and even better company. This March, we invite you to join us for BEwell: The Body-Mind Reset, a month-long program to reset healthy habits, boost your workouts and optimise your physical and mental wellbeing for the long run. 

To share some more personal insights of the program, we sat down with BECYCLE member Oliver Schlicht who was our BEwell champion of 2019! He somehow managed to attend an astounding 47 classes throughout the month!

Oliver, how was the BEwell experience for you?

Great, I had so much energy! Doing sport 6-7 mornings a week put me in such a good mood. In terms of food, I cut out sugar and actually was able to enjoy food without it - by the end of the program I was able to drink a double espresso without sugar!

Prior to BEwell I did a huge amount of sport, but I had to stop for a while due to a foot injury. The biggest challenge about the BEwell month was being away from my family, to take 3-4 hours to train.

What did you like most about the program?

Staying active every single day, and taking time for myself. Also being more conscious about my nutrition - eating more fresh foods, more protein, less carbs, no sugar.

What was the most challenging aspect of the program?

To have the discipline to do sport every day, especially in the morning.

Which event was most inspiring for you?

The kick-off night, because everyone joining BEwell for the month was there… it was fun!

Was the level of guidance enough?

Yes. I especially used the smoothie recipes and the lists (what to eat and what not to eat).

Did you have a favourite course?

Yin Yoga & Yoga, I found them extremely relaxing - especially Yin Yoga after a RIDE.
