BECYCLE Bookshelf
Besides the athleisure and performance wear that don the golden wall at the studio, you might notice some prints peppered along the shelf. As you run in and out of class to start or end your day, you might not have time to pick up the paperbacks and flip through the pages, so we thought we’d provide a quick primer that might prompt you to add one or two to your own bookshelf or coffee table at home. They range from health inspo to weekend wanderlust themes and we’ve hand selected each one to share with our BECYCLE besties.

Take Me to the Lakes: Weekender Edition Berlin
By The Gentle Temper
The Berlin-based authors “focus on making the relationships between man, nature and the things that surround us daily, aesthetically appealing and culturally valuable.” They gained fame with their original “Take Me to the Lakes” book in spring 2017 and have made Berlin’s surrounding bodies of water en vogue for day trips. This recent “Weekender Edition” provides places to stay and more adventures to pursue for a weekend away. Have you done any of their expeditions? We would love to hear about them. Its available in German language only, but what better way to “lerne Deutsch auf dem Weg zum See”
Kick. Ass. Yoga.
By Jelena Lieberberg
Another Berlin-based author, and former instructor at BECYCLE, Jelena’s book is not for the faint of heart. The book is inspired by various body-oriented Hatha yoga styles and combined with techniques of functional training - down to the last fascia. You can train alone with your own body weight or with equipment. Our favorite part? Every exercise is also available as a video for free streaming via access code in the book. A pocket-size book and online access means no excuses to miss a good stretch opportunity while on the go!
