Athletic Reformer Pilates Immersion Workshop (20.09-22.09 Berlin)

We are thrilled to host a series of special workshops in our space in Kreuzberg lead by Sean Bergara, a renowned California-based leader in athletic reformer training, who has been inspiring and motivating countless movement professionals all across the US and globally.

The 3-day workshop is designed to provide reformer instructors with an intensive and comprehensive training experience focused on enhancing their knowledge and skills in leading athletic-focused Pilates sessions. Throughout the workshop, instructors will delve into Sean’s unique techniques, exercises, and programming tailored specifically for clients seeking a more dynamic and challenging Pilates experience.

Workshop Structure:

Day 1 Movement Learning – learn new insights on how to use the Magic Circle and incorporate the concepts with multiple exercises. Learn new ways to cue spine flexion and extension with his easy to understand method. Additionally, you will learn propping for physical limitations, how to create multiple variations for each exercise, discuss teaching practices, intention and more.

Day 2 Progressive Pilates – Learn many of Sean’s latest full body floor exercises, his innovative short box on the frame and carriage exercises, tons of his unique no springs reformer exercises, creative ways to incorporate the roll-down bar with the reformer and more.

Day 3 Athletic Reformer – Learn how to program a safe and effective reformer strength classes. Learn how to stabilize movement for strength, progress and modify exercises, and how to apply athletic techniques to your reformer classes.  Discuss the importance of inclusivity, how to properly cue for non-Pilates students, and propping for the tall and larger students. Take the time to learn Sean’s four athletic program formats, program-a-class, and learn how to apply the Pilates principles to an athletic reformer class.
